Session Info....
It is the greatest honour, and such a special privilege, to welcome you with your new baby to capture their arrival in the world. Having moved out of my high street premises after my youngest child was born, I am now back in my home (garden) studio - where my photography journey began, back in 2015. I have a brand new designated shooting area which is described below (images of which will be shared on my social media pages)… but also a comfortable chill out area for families to relax in-between photos, feed and change baby and for siblings to play / watch tv! Bonus... we also have internet ;-)
Not only do I have nearly a decade's experience photographing babies under my belt, I have also have FIVE of my own! This wealth of experience means your little ones are in safe and loving hands here; I understand and can read babies VERY well, and you all as a family are welcomed and made to feel as relaxed and comfortable as I can possibly make you. For me, these new baby shoots are a blend of using my skills to achieve a gallery of images that will blow you away... with making the experience a pleasurable one and a fond memory to transport back to in years to come!
Before your session I will send you a prep guide with step by step instructions and tips on how to prepare for your session, what to wear and what to bring with you etc
Session Style....
New for 2025! I have a beautiful brand new neutral, light and super stylish nursery room set all ready for you to enter with baby, for natural, 'in-the-moment' photos. There's a Nordic cross Boho theme and the colour pallets for this 'living' area are strictly whites / beiges / with natural wood / bamboo etc accessories. In addition to the family shots we will achieve in this area of the studio; I also have a gorgeous collection of brand new props and accessories for solo baby such as wicker baskets and bamboo beds, cute outfits and luxurious soft materials for posing. You'll get to choose what you'd like us to use at the session. I aim to cover all 'people combinations' from who is in attendance at the session; such as whole family, parent & baby, sibling and baby, sibling solo, and of course.... the star of the show.... special new baby solo!
I will also have a plain neutral coloured backdrop to grab a few clean and timeless 'studio style' family shots for you.
*important to note*
This new session on offer - is not heavily posed for the baby at all. It's main purpose is to capture your lovely new baby in a relaxed and natural way. So please be aware that if baby is awake, we get awake shots and if baby sleeps - we get sleepy shots! Or a mix. It is strictly baby led and the session time is for shooting and not for prepping baby to shoot, unless baby requires a feed. I will not be doing heavy poses with baby as in my experience to guarantee these - a 4 hour session is required to get baby into a deep enough sleep to be able to mould them, and such a lengthy and unpredictable session type is not practical for me around my young family commitments but also having offered those sessions in the past - I found is also not practical for a lot of post partem parents. Two hours is plenty, right?! I personally love the natural shots this type of session achieves and I feel will be so helpful to remember the moment when you look back on them as little one grows.
